Rotate Copies LPE - possible bug?

Hi Jabier and All, I found an odd behavior in Rotate Copies LPE. Whenever I choose an odd number of copies, it makes double that number. Even numbers, it makes that number. So if I choose 6 copies, it makes 6 copies. If I choose 7 copies, it makes 14! If I set to 8, it makes 8. I set 9, it makes 18. Etc. Perspective/Envelope LPE is clone-like

Hi Friends, I'm usinig the Perspective/Envelope LPE (in 0.92pre2 for about screen contest). I duplicated an object which I applied it to, and set it aside, because I wanted to test a certain edit, but not lose the original. However, when I edit the duplicate, the original is edited too, as if it were a clone. Should that be happening? Or am I doing something wrong? Thanks, brynn

canvas display vs other viewers (0.92pre2 ?)

Hi Friends, Sorry for all the messages today. Even if I'm not much of an artist, just using this dev version for the contest, allows me to have a personal experience with all the various toys and issues. So I can be ready to help to answer questions from other users. I was having a little bit of a problem using a filter, and never did figure out why it looks differently on a larger object than on a smaller one. Eventually I just tweaked the filter on the larger one. But then I made a PNG export, and the filter looks much better through the Windows Photo Viewer (Windows 7). Compare http://inkscapecommunity.com/jd/ss/f1.png with http://inkscapecommunity.com/jd/ss/f2.png The first one is what I see in Inkscape. First, notice in the smaller object where the filter looks a little better than on the larger one. (I mean the lavendar colored strokes with Raised Border filter). But mainly I'm curious about the difference between the Inkscape canvas and the Windows Viewer. See in the 2nd one, the filters are displayed in a much nicer way, at least imo. So I know that different viewers have different abilities and support different features. But it seems to me like Inkscape should be having the most ideal display. What can the reason for this be? I have not noticed this much of a difference in previous versions. Ooohh -- I just learned from a previous question about the dpi being different in 0.92. Could that explain this different display? Is there some other place besides Export PNG, where I need to change the dpi? Something in Inkscape Prefs maybe? Thanks for your help :-) brynn

contest deadline

Hi Friends, Nov 13th is the date being circulated as the deadline for the About Screen Contest. For some reason, I thought it was the 8th. I'm thinking it would be good to have the deadline date mentioned on the instructions page. And I would do it myself, except I'm not 100% positive that it's the 13th. export area vs image size (0.92pre2)

Hi Friends, In 0.92pre2, when using Export PNG, I set it up for Export Area = Page. But the Image Size is different, even when the dpi is 90.00. The page size is 750 x 625, but the image size is 703 x 586 at 90 dpi. Here's a screenshot: http://inkscapecommunity.com/jd/ss/exppng.png Has there been some change with the dpi? Or should I make a bug report? I looked through the Release Notes, and could have overlooked or didn't understand something. But didn't see an answer there. Thanks, brynn

pasting paths into 0.92 becomes rasterized

Hi Friends, I'm trying to paste the vector Inkscape logo from this file: https://inkscape.org/en/~inkscape/%E2%98%85inkscape-official-logo-vector into 0.92pre2, but it's becoming rasterized. At first I thought it might be because the file I'm working on might be getting big. But even in a new blank file in 0.92, it becomes rasterized. I've tried countless times. It pastes the Group of 28 normally as expected into 0.91 stable. Windows 7, sp1, 64-bit, Inkscape 0.92pre2, exe installer, 32-bit version. Inkscape 0.92pre2 15127 Anything I can provide for troubleshooting, let me know :-) Thanks, brynn
