Inkscape plug-in for Git?

I looked, but couldn't find one (and of course, it's hard to search for). I work w/ a couple of diagrams for the Shapeoko 2 on github --- is there a plug-in for Inkscape similar to: https://github.com/almonk/sketchgit for Sketch? Even cooler would be one which would allow automatic opening / uploading of images to a Mediawiki site (finally managed to get SVG support enabled for the Shapeoko wiki). Thanks Shlomi Fish and Alex Valavanis! Alex: Tutorial on the wiki? I didn't know there was any such. Where is it? Maybe it's what I've been looking for. Are you suggesting I could use the Extension Subsystem section by itself, as a guide? I don't think I have the proper software to extract that section (copy it) and make it into a stand-alone PDF. Maybe would be simpler to delete everything else, but I don't think I have the tools. (I only have Adobe Reader) I'm also not sure if a multi-page PDF can be uploaded to InkSpace..... how to write Inkscape extensions - guide needed

Hi Friends, I think I asked this before, but it was mixed up with another subject. And there seems to be a bit of a lull in the action, on the dev mailing list. So I thought it would be a good time to try again, when this is the only subject. In forums, probably 3 to 5 times in a year, people post a message asking either how to write an extension for Inkscape, or about some technical aspect of writing an extension. Or another version is - how to get an extension they wrote to be packed with Inkscape. Unfortunately, most of us don't have a clue about any of it, and there is no place to refer them. Now I'm working on fleshing out the Contribute page of the website, and it would be really nice to be able to provide a link to some kind of guide, or instructions, or article on the subject. It doesn't necessarily need to be a newbie's guide; so it wouldn't be teaching someone like me to write an extension. It would be addressed towards people who already have the needed skills and experience. So if anyone is interested, it would really be a great benefit to the Inkscape community, to have some information, in any kind of format, on how to write an Inkscape extension. A question about the Perfect bound cover extension.

This extension is unique in the world of Open Source Software. There is one parameter that is unclear. If one specifies the cover thickness, which in turns changes the spine width, does that number represent the thickness of one side of the spine or both sides? There are choices for PPI, caliper, width, bond weight and so on. But it is not clear whether this assumes that the number entered is for one side of the cover or both sides. For example 360 Digital Books (now owned by Whitlock) provides an number of 0.034 in their spine formula, which represents both sides of the spine. What does the Inkscape extension expect in that parameter, one side or both? The true answer will be added to my updated version of the book referenced below, where I recommend the Inkscape cover template for use with Scribus designed covers. A cover designed exclusively in Inkscape will still need the above question answered. Why don't I just write a book on an Inkscape designed cover? Patience little grasshopper. That is my next project. Inkscape lacks the ability to produce a PDF document with inherent CMYK color model, and also lacks the ability to produce a PDF X/1-a:2001 formatted document as required by many printers, particularly in the USA. Scribus can do both of these, but lacks a built-in Perfect Bound facility like Inkscape. So my current recommendation is to start in Inkscape and finish in Scribus.
