suggestion for guide creator extension

Hi, I LOVE the guides creator extension, it's almost perfect for what I want to do ..... the only issue I'm having is that the file I need to make has 11 vertical stickers. Would it be possible to change the 'pull down' menu to a 'write in' field which I could change to however many I need? That would make it perfect! Thanks, Dale

Hello: Big Inkscape fan, but stuck on 0.44 Does anyone know where I can download prebuilt versions of Inkscape for Linux RedHat #4. I tried to build my own but very quickly found myself in deep, library dependency hell. Thanks. Bill

Hey all, I was looking forward to announcing the contest beginning today... however we will have a slight delay before it begins. The reason behind the delay... we need some new builds with new features for our users! So, would packagers for win32 and OSX be willing to put some builds together soon for our users? Hi, I found a website that lists a lot of very fine free software for art and design (http://www.libregraphicsworld.org/ ) and in that list I found one app that is wonderful... It's called contextfree (you can apt-get it!) and it's all command-line based. You write a small script kind of thing and then use the cfdg command to make a png -- and here's the coolth -- or an SVG! (http://www.contextfreeart.org/index.html) How would one go about interfacing this into Inkscape? I can see a really nice extension arising out of it; a little preview, a link to a text editor and a Render button. While you are here, there's another generator app that takes it into the 3rd dimension. This one is called 'structure-synth' (also apt-gettable). Imagine if that could also be brought into Inkscape! SVG Hyperlink

Hello, this is not a special inkscape question but maybe someone can help me anyhow. The following code snippet does not work in IE8. (http://www.selfsvg.info/content/listings/a_example.svg) An SVG element (black circle) is configured with a hyperlink. The link does not open when cklicking the svg element. I use the Adobe SVG plugin. It only works when using a frame structure and the target points to an existing frame. Updating/adding to the showcase...

Greetings, I created a graphic for the MakeHuman project and wondered if we can add it to the Show Case. The showcase is located here: http://www.inkscape.org/showcase/index.php?lang=en There is BRANDING, ICONS and such and perhaps we could add SUPPORTING OPEN SOURCE PROJECTS. I THINK the show case is part of the main site not the wiki or forum but I was not totally sure. If there is a way for me to edit the page myself let me know. The graphic was created using Inkscape with some screen captures edited in GIMP. Remote for jessyink presentations -- on a mac, anyway

Found something really cool! On a mac (at least on my 2007 model mac mini, anyway), the apple remote that comes with it can be used, in conjunction with a program called NeoRemote, (http://www.jfedor.org/neoremote/) ... to switch slides in jessyink. NeoRemote was intended to allow the apple remote to be used for slide transitions with NeoOffice presentations. (NeoOffice is a version of Open Office for the mac, but their presentations are kinda lame, no anti-aliasing) It remaps the remote buttons to emulate keyboard keys. There are other such programs for the apple remote, but NeoRemote is free. This works in Safari, Firefox, Opera, and Google Chrome. (As probably would be expected, but ya never know...)
