blend function in inkscape

Hi, I am new in Inkscape and I am happy with the function that provided in Inkscape. It is great ... and I would like to learn on how to use this tool :D I would like to know, whether there is function Blend like in Adobe Illustrator ? I would like to know if there is the equals function in Inkscape. I tried extrude / expand path but It doesnt do the same function as in Illustrator .. or I just dont know how :D If extrude path is the equal function as blend, then I would like to know how to blend using path as well. .. thnks ... note: I am using Inkscape 0.441 in Windows. adwin Send instant messages to your online friends http://au.messenger.yahoo.com

Mask/Clip is kinda hard to use

Hello, I don't know if I'm alone in this, but the mask/clip options in vers x.x are very hard to use. The results are hard to predict. Colours of objects will change (depending on fore/back ground order etc). Also, the difference between clip and mask is not clear. I come from a (distant) background in Macromedia Freehand and in that world they had a concept called "Paste Inside". 1. Now that made perfect sense and was perfectly predictable. One did not have to setup a bunch of "tests" on the side. 2. You could select items within the mask, and easily edit/move them. In Inkscape 0.44, I get the feeling that those items are new and experimental, perhaps they will get a better user interface - I'm not sure where the coders are at now, I know they move really fast on a thousand fronts. Anyway, any pointers? /d

Hello all, please forgive the intrusion ... If anyone wants to manage TTF fonts under Linux, then FontyPython should do the trick. I just finished and released version 0.2.0 which is my second release onto: https://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/fontypython I have attached a screeny so you can get a quick idea of what it's all about. If anyone wants to help me, we could get it working with other font types too. I know nothing at all about Type 1 and company. I hope there are no showstopping bugs, enjoy. Donn.

PSfrag replacements problem (importing eps)

Hi, When I import an eps file I lose all the text in the eps file. Instead a text is added which says "PSfrag replacements". I'm using version 0.44.1. I've uploaded the problem eps file into http://www.coolhall.com/dynrange.eps Could you please help me out with this? Thanks, Oguz
