Question regarding draw mode

Hi, I'm very new to inkscape and am just learning my way through. I've just noticed that I'm in an odd draw mode for rectangles and circles where, when I draw them, instead of rectangles or circles showing up, I get an outline box and two small squares and a circle actually on the outline box (not IN it). My goal is just to draw a rectangle or a circle. Can you help me with this? Thanks for your time! New translators mailing list for Inkscape

Heya all, We've set up a brand new mailing list for Inkscape translators. You can subscribe to it here: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/inkscape-translator The purpose of this list is to discuss localization and translation issues of Inkscape and its documentation. Here's a sampling of specific topics the translators have proposed discussing on the list: - where are we ? (what are the translation status ? Which languages need some more commitment...) - where do we (translators) usually face some issues ? (specific vocabulary, synchronization with development...) - get some best practices from the ML and then, write them down on the wiki - share experiences on specific blocking points - take a look at the various tasks, on different levels : (core software strings, tutorials, text docs, web pages...) Hi, I am interested in having an option to start inkview fullscreen + have left/right mouse buttons change slides. I could try to code that. I can see inkscape got --slideshow option - are there plans to integrate inkview into inkscape? I hope not. Karol

Printing dialog doesn't display

I've got inkscape 0.43 (april 13 2006) running on freeBSD 6.0/kde 3.5.2 I'd like to set print parameters. When I select print the page goes straight to the printer. In this case it is an A4 page in landscape mode, it gets printed in portrait mode. malcolm
