Very well, all conditions are met, and it appears all comments voiced have been in support of the proposal. I've submitted the request to SF to have inkscape-user-es@ added. Once the list is available, I'll put out the official announcement, however I would encourage the new members of this list to take the duty to promote it and encourage other Spanish speaking users to join. I think seeing news in the native language will be the most effective way of building the community. Also, if speakers of other languages would also like to have lists set up, and can meet the same conditions that were met for the Spanish list, I will create them as well. Yo tengo 55 años y no tengo tiempo de aprender ingles. Pero estoy en el "diseño gráfico para imprenta" desde antes que existiera Internet. Tengo alguna experiencia sobre el diseño gráfico digital pues manejo el Corel desde el 4. A de más tengo muy buenas relaciones dentro de la comunidad Corel de habla española. Y de usuarios tester, de Corel. Entonces pensé que podría ayudar desde mi conocimiento y desde mis contactos. Partiendo que yo no se programar pero si se usar lo que hacen los programadores. Y como si esto fuera poco estoy muy integrado a la comunidad de SL y Open Source de Argentina. Espero haber sido claro. Si esto no se comprende "lo de la ayuda". Me ofreceré en otro lado. Shorter way to import eps, and general question extensions under windows

Hello, as mentioned several times in this mailing list, the eps-import in inkscape works via subsequent conversions to .ps, .sk, and finally .svg. For this purpose I tried to install all required packages on my windows machine, but for some reasons 'sketch' seems to be a little problematic (doesn't start and doesn't include 'skconvert' which is required in the last conversion step in sk2svg.sh). Fortunately, 'pstoedit' has two ways to produce svg-output. For some reason, "-f svg" doesn't work well, but "-f plot-svg" seems to do the job. I tried this on the command line and opened the svg-file successfully in inkscape. Given that, the extension script 'eps_input.inx' could be changed to call 'pstoedit -f plot-svg' to let inkscape read in the svg-output in a more efficient way than before. Now my problem: I didn't manage to change 'eps_input.inx' to do exactly this on my windows machine: <inkscape-extension> <name>EPS Input</name> <id>org.inkscape.input.eps</id> <dependency type="executable">pstoedit.exe</dependency> <input> <extension>.eps</extension> <mimetype>image/x-encapsulated-postscript</mimetype> <filetypename>Encapsulated Postscript (*.eps)</filetypename> <filetypetooltip>Encapsulated Postscript</filetypetooltip> </input> <script> <command reldir="path">pstoedit.exe -f plot-svg</command> </script> </inkscape-extension> What's wrong here? Is there anything special with windows here? I have no idea about the syntax or language at all in these extension scripts ... I'm not sure if 'pstoedit' gets executed at all. Buenas Noches Haciendo un resumen de inkscape en español: Hay que mandar un mail preguntando quienes quisieran participar, y en caso de ser muchos, se arma una lista oficial de inkscape en castellano y/o español. ¡Aquí se cumple, el primer requisito!. Por el "no": no hacer nada. Por el "si": Enviar mail a: delafe@...155... Poner en Asunto: "si Oficial" Segunda opción: Y en el caso de ser pocos, se puede armar una lista no oficial de inkscape en castellano y/o español igual. De mi parte, no se nada de "inkscape", pero cuando nací (hace 55 años) tampoco sabia escribir. Por el "no": no hacer nada. Por el "si": Enviar mail a: nperiz@...155... Poner en Asunto: "si, y que Dios nos ayude" Tengamos en cuenta que tenemos traductor oficial ya nombrado "Guillermo Movia". El cual no dijo que si pero, ya esta trabajando.
