Any collaboration features built into Inkscape?

Hi all, I'm writing a book, and one chapter compares and contrasts vector drawing programs. This specific section is about several people in several cities getting together via Jitsi or Zoom or GotoMeeting or whatever and working on a diagram together. I'd envision one participant making changes, then another participant, etc. I wouldn't anticipate two doing it simultaneously: That would be a recipe for disaster. So does Inkscape in any way facilitate this kind of collaboration? I've been using Inkscape for many years. I also use it extensively in my small business. I'd like to fully fund development of specific features in Inkscape, but didn't see an easy way to contact developers already familiar with the code base on the Inkscape web-site. Unexpected behavior in version Inkscape 1.1 (c68e22c387, 2021-05-23)

Hi all, I'm using Inkscape 1.1 (c68e22c387, 2021-05-23), and running into unexpected behavior with text, as explained below: My drawing has a text item with hard newlines and specific spacing between baselines (1.1). I save it as plain SVG, close the file, then reopen it. The text item's baseline to baseline appears to have reverted to 1.0, but the text now appears to be on one line, and if I insert newlines, everything just gets jumbled together on the same line. If I add material, different lines have different baseline to baseline distances. The bottom line is I have to completely recreate the text item from scratch on every edit, which slows things to say the least. This is probably intermittent, because I have another text item that so far, from minimal investigation, appears not to have this problem. I can also tell you that I seem to remember problems like this (rarely) in earlier versions, but I can't remember any details. * Has anybody else encountered this? * Can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong, and how to do it right? Inkscape 1.1 release candidate is available !

Hi to all Inkscapers! We just launched the Release Candidate of Inkscape 1.1, with a plan to have roughly three weeks of testing for a release around May 24th. You can get it here: ================================= https://inkscape.org/release/inkscape-1.1/?latest=1 ================================= (source tarball, linux appimage, windows installers and macOS dmg are available) We encourage you to use it as you would use Inkscape 1.1 stable, in order to find any problems people may encounter with the release. In particular, if you find any regressions, please do submit a bug report as soon as possible on https://inkscape.org/report : if nothing major is reported, the state of that release candidate should be close to the release. Modifying the opacity of objects inside a group

Dear all, I want to modify the opacity of objects inside a group. This is for a theme, so I need to do many such operations. Currently, I ungroup, select the objects, modify the opacity, group again, and rename the group. This is time consuming so I would like to go faster by not ungrouping the objects. So I try to enter the group and select the object. Unfortunately, when I do that, I always see the opacity of the objects at 100%, so it seems this is not the real opacity of the object and I cannot increase it. Do I miss something? What am I doing wrong? Thank you for your help, Frédéric
