Chris also submitted a second image in the contest, which also made it into the Top 5, called 'Joy!'. Hi Everyone, This is a follow up to share the recorded link from last week's leadership committee video meeting: https://digimedia1.r2.enst.fr/playback/presentation/2.3/80b082be7c60e7a1fd9… This was a no decisions meeting. There's no need to watch unless you're interested in a bunch of people thinking and talking. This discussion was really interesting, and varied. Covering people's thoughts on what is Inkscape is as a project, how we paying people changes things, how we go about asking volunteers, what this means for our sense of identity. What the SFC thinks of corperate involvement, of project different structures etc (big thanks to pono and Karen for attenting from the SFC). The video doesn't have a way of continuing any of the discussion on, so if you do want to talk abou the issues, please do add context to which part you'd like to add to. Are GPU Acceleration & Color-Managed Exports on the Roadmap?

I was just wondering if anyone knows whether GPU acceleration and CMYK (and spot color) exports are on the roadmap for future releases? I design professionally, and I'm trying to get away from Adobe and Windows for good; these features are just about the final hurdles to make Inkscape usable for me in a professional, print-focused setting. I know Scribus can be used to convert colors, but the state of SVG support in Scribus makes it difficult to rely on for this purpose. With those features in place, barring some small UX concerns, I think Inkscape would be a 100% viable alternative to Illustrator in pro settings. It's so close already, and I've really been enjoying learning it. I have moved most of my machines to Manjaro, but I have one Windows machine left that I access via Parsec to run Adobe CC when I have to; I'm itching to get rid of it. -- Kind Regards, Nathan -------------------- /Out of office, on vacation, or on sick leave? This extension will fill an area with your choice of 20 patterns. Keyboard shortcut for global snap toggle?

Dear inkscape users, I have installed the latest inkscape available in ppa:inkscape.dev/stable for Ubuntu 20.04. I would like to change the default keyboard shortcut for toggling global snap from the default "%" to "F" (or "f") key. That used to work for me in inkscape 1.0 and previous versions thanks to the following lines in ~/.config/inkscape/keys/default.xml file: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no"?> <keys name="My custom shortcuts"> <bind key="f" action="ToggleSnapGlobal" display="true" /> <bind key="F" action="ToggleSnapGlobal" display="true" /> </keys> But since, I think, 1.1 version, my custom keyboard shortcut "F" is not working any more. I have also tried to change the shortcut via Preferences, Keyboard, Shortcuts but I don't see how to do it. For completion, I have another shortcut defined in the same file which does work for opening the Tex Text extension: <bind key="j" action="org.ekips.filter.textext" display="true"/> I appreciate your help, Best wishes, Pablo
