Saving Filters in Inkscape 0.46

I'm just getting into the new filters in Inkscape 0.46. So far I have been able to create a few things. I have noticed that setting up a filter at first takes a little time. What are our options regarding saving these filters and applying them to future projects? My instinct wants there to be a "save filter" or "export filter" somewhere. heathenx

Does this mean Inkscape is against the spec? Can someone look into this, please? Filter effects for two (or more) objects

Is my conclusion correct that until feImage is done, other primitives like feBlend, feComposite, and feMerge cannot work directly with two different objects? For example, using feComposite with the Out operator to "punch" a hole in one object shaped like another object. Kurt

problems compiling inkscape 0.46

Dear all Following the advise of J.B.C.Engelen I have tried to compile inkscape and I it has failed. I have downloaded the tar ball and follow the route configure ->make->make install but make does not build the executable. What am i missing? Is my system lacking any packages? uniconv conversion from .cdr on Windows XP

has anyone been able to successfully use the python utility uniconv to do a conversion on a win32 machine from .cdr to .svg, preferably from a DOS prompt, since that is easier? I can do a successful conversion from .svg to .svg in DOS, but that is not very interesting. Inkscape 0.46 Stable for Windows Released

Great news. Today the stable release of Inkscape 0.46 Win32 is up on sourceforge. Thanks to many who tested and several who fixed bugs. This release has been a real team effort. Hi, this is my first posting to this forum and I hope I send my questions to the right email address ;-) 1. Why does Inkscape uses the path tag for circles instead of the existing circle tag? 2. When painting a circle in Inkscape and moving it the move is stored in the transform translate tag.
