since we are on the subject, does anyone have an answer as to why i can't make any changes to my settings for the puck and why the settings disappear when i change to the pressure stylus in 0.45.1 and unable to save the settings if i could change them? i had the save problem with the last version along with what i am describing here. wacom graphire3 (usb) with the most recent driver, pen tablet 503-3 (rc) windows xp pro -- Dwain Alford http://www.studiokdd.com "The artist may use any form which his expression demands; for his inner impulse must find suitable expression." Graphics Tablets for Inkscape? Recommendations Please.

I'm planning on doing a rather Inkscape / Gimp intensive open source project in the next month or three and I'm contemplating buying a Graphics Tablet. Any recommendations on what to buy / not buy for use with Inkscape? For example there are cheapie Genius tablets and there are really expensive Wacom Intuous tablets. Do you really care about features like pen slant? Can Inkscape use it? Inkscape and Postscript.

Inkscape uses a vector format and PostScript uses another vector format. An article from the Belfast Telegraph highlighting free alternatives mentions Inkscape rather positively. http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/technology/article2399581.ece Inkscape What does it do? It's a vector graphics editor. [...] What is it undercutting? [Adobe Illustrator] and [CorelDraw] Both have steeper learning curves and larger feature sets than Inkscape.
