I received a mail form one Carsten Goetze the other day asking how to submit an effect for inclusion in the inkscape distribution. Every time I tried to reply my mail was rejected by the remote server. Carsten, if you read these lists, I'm sorry that I wasn't able to get back to you immediately. Please post your effect to the patch tracker <http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=93438&atid=604308> and send a mail the the mailing lists to encourage everyone to test your work. Aaron Spike

Thanks, that's useful, but it's a shame that it centers on the new object if any part is not visible. Maybe that could be made into an option. Hi Nicu, Could you tell me where to find the Map.svg is posted on the Inkscape website http://www.inkscape.org/showcase/gallery/inkscape_rpg_map.png ? I didn't find it on the openclipart.org Best regards Is it (all picture?) really public domain

Hi list, Could anybody tell me if there is a simple way to generate borders effect on an image done in Inkscape ? I post an image (I generated with a Print Screen key) attached to express more clearly my doubt. sincerely Ezequias

effect using 'tile clones...'

Hi all, can someone give me a clue on how to accomplish this effect: http://inkscape.sourceforge.net/screenshots/gallery/inkscape-0.37-linux-xml… I tried it using 'tile clones...' plus the XML editor, but to no avail! :-( So far, I can only imagine doing all of this by hand! Question about Inkscape Graphics Library

What graphics API or library does Inkscape use to actually paint the graphics on the screen? Does it use XWindows geometries via GTK+, or does it have more direct access to the graphics hardware by using something like OpenGL? Thanks, Landon
