I don't think this once happened to me; I rather remember times when I
forgot to publish or didn't at the moment because I was in a hurry. But
I'll try to imagine.

Okay. Everything that comes from this CMS is really, really weird.
Quoting Martin: ‘The consistency of the (…) system has me baffled.’ (The
‘(…)’ hides the word ‘language’.)

Well, do you see the fourth column with colored discs, that one where
each of them is green and which has ‘FR’ at the top?
Uh… Actually, I'm wrong, I see one blue dot, probably coming from the
time when I tested editing the Screenshots page, wondering why there
were only and exactly two plugins in it.
Pop. No more blue dots in my column.
If for example you save a plugin without changing it, or move your
plugins but reset their order later, the CMS will register the draft has
changed.

Hi everyone,
thank you, Duarte and Sylvain for helping out :)
Just a reminder for the 'old' translators and info for our new team members:
When you translate an 'official' text, which has legal importance, like
licence or trademark policy, please include a short sentence saying
something like this:
[Translator's note: The official English original text can be found at
<http://inkscape.org/en/about/trademark-policy/>. This is just an
inofficial <language> translation of <page title>. Only the English
original text is legally binding.]
(see German version of trademark policy for an example how this could be
added to the page:
https://inkscape.org/de/ueber/markenrecht-richtlinien/)
Thank you all for your hard work today!
Kind Regards,
Maren

- No, I was wrong, found that out yesterday, but only have time now to fix
my error here :) The thing that caused me to believe this was a bug in
cmsdiff.
So: @Everyone: publishing only publishes the page you see!
> You actually risk seeing your content published by someone else as I

without anyone knowing the purpose.
- Sylvain, please only publish your own work - people may still be working
on something and want to make corrections before they publish.
> I don't want any language to mimic the current state of the Korean
language (all its pages are drafs; the home page is published but not
the last version; and I'm pretty sure nobody knows what it means).
- I think this is due to that bug in django-cms, which needed a quick
workaround fix some time ago. Translated pages can't be deleted easily,
but unpublishing worked, I think. Just leave it as it is.
> Hey, that's worse than I thought. Why are there so many blue and grey

publish, guys? de, nl, it, pt-br, cs, ru, zh-hant and ko, why do you let
your homepage suffering of not being published like that?
- I'm sure everyone here knows how to publish ;) Sometimes, there is no
apparent reason for django-cms deciding that a page has changed. Not all
of those pages contain changes (probably almost none of them). Some may be
related to the above-mentioned bug.
But of course, anyone should make sure from time to time that they have
published everything they intended to publish ;)

Inkscape website Simplified Chinese translation.
by min zhang
Hello to all,
My name is Min Zhang and I'm from China.
I love Linux and open-souce, and by chance I knew about Inkscape and find
it very handy. I also joined few other open-source translation team. Now
it's time to say Hello to Inkscape.
After some tuning and testing, I'm almost finished translating
inkscape-website.po file into Simplified Chinese.
There are still 4 strings left, I really don't know what they are about and
how to translate, I've uploaded my work to github(
https://github.com/zm1990s/blog/blob/master/django_zh.po) and maybe someone
could help me with those 4 strings (line 618,line 3109)?
As soon as I finished this, I'd be glad to translate inkscape website with
those online editing tools. Could anyone give me the right permission to do
that? My username is *zm1990s*. Thank you.
One more thing, I noticed someone has already created Chinese pages in
Inkscape, and there's another language called "簡體中文", the thing is Chinese
equals "簡體中文", and the actual “簡體中文” 's content is Traditional Chinese! I'm
trying to say is you should replace “簡體中文” with "繁體中文". And maybe better
replace "Chinese" with "简体中文".

really annoying...)
Hi Min,
welcome aboard :)

- Great!

618:
This link will be used as absolute url for this item and replaces the view
logic. <br />Note that by default this only applies for items with an
empty \"content\" field.
This is an internal string which is only exposed to people who have
permission to edit news. It is possible to post a link instead of a whole
news item. If the news does not have a contents, the link will be used
instead.
#: cmsplugin_news/models.py:98
msgid "Translated version of another news item."
Internal string. Can't find it used anywhere in the news entry forms. It's
just saying 'This is a translation of a news article'.
3109:
User agent os match, whole string.
and
User agent os version partial match, e.g. |10|11| will match both version
and version 11, must have pipes at start and end of string.
These are internal strings, only used for administration of the website.
They are the description of text fields where the administrator enters a
search term for the user's operating system. It will be used to try and
match the user's browser's user agent string (the webbrowser tells you
what operating system it is running on). This will be used to give a user
the download file for the operating system he/she is using.

- Done. Please be very careful when working on the website, and read
http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/WebSite carefully. As written in
the previous email to Bob, it's easy to break things at inkscape.org (but
less easy than it once was, fortunately). If you need help or have a
question, don't hesitate to ask here again.

- Could you make this problem a bug report, and provide translation /
English versions of the problematic language names, so it will be easier
for those who can't read them to do a web search? (hant, hans... I guess?)
It's probably a problem in django-cms or django (i.e. upstream), but I'm
not sure.
This is where Inkscape Website bugs live:
