Team titles
by Martin Owens
Dear translators,
The website has an upgraded team list, it can now show a title or role
for a member of a team. To show what this could look like for the
translators team I've added three examples:
https://inkscape.org/en/*translator
If this is interesting or useful for the translators team, please let
me know. More information about membership is always possible in
future updates.
Also note that now leaving or expiring from a team will result in you
being listed under the Previous team members list, so your
contribution won't be forgotten if you choose to stop helping with
translations.

Who are you waiting on?

This is pretty much correct.

Website Administrator. We don't have a webmaster :-/ which is a shame.

The urls is regex, so /releases?/ means the 's' is optional.

P.S. I'm not subscribed to translators mailing list, so things might
get lost unless emailed directly.

Website/Wiki/News outlets: Updates for 0.92.2 (not released yet!)
by Maren Hachmann
Dear Translators,
for the pending release of Inkscape 0.92.2, there are already a couple
of texts available for us to work on:
Website
--------
On the website, the news article can already be translated at:
https://inkscape.org/en/news/unpublished/833/
(when the article is published, you can also access it from the
inkscape.org front page).
Clicking on Save will not publish the translation, when the original
isn't published yet.
When the English version is then published, any existing translations
will be published, too.
Website CMS pages will probably also require adaptation, unless the
releases app is ready for the release (I'm not sure here, but currently
it looks more like we'll need to work on the CMS pages, just like last
time).
Wiki
----
And we've also got some release notes for 0.92.2 in the Wiki:
http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/Release_notes/0.92.2
Translating these is some work, but it's also very interesting, if you
want to know more details about all the progress that has been made (and
why you should update to 0.92.2 when it's out!)
Please send a message to this mailing list or to me directly if you
would like to get access to the Wiki or to the Website News, to help
with the tasks.
News spreading
--------------
If you can help with spreading the news in your language, please visit:
https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape-vectors/press/issues/1
to see if there are already news outlets on the list for your language,
and add a comment, to claim one or more of the to-do items.
If you know of one that is missing in the list, please comment on the
issue, give a link and a way how to contact the corresponding outlet.
IMPORTANT: Please do NOT post or publish any news anywhere just yet,
Inkscape 0.92.2 hasn't been released yet! Wait for the official
announcements on the user or development mailing lists!
Btw. did you see the new icon for website translators team here:
https://inkscape.org/en/teams/ ?
It was made by Tim Jones (https://inkscape.org/en/~TimJones) who
designed a set of beautiful headgear icons for the listed teams.
Thank you very much everyone + happy translating!
Kind Regards,
Maren

DE Site Advice
by Martin Owens
Dear translators,
A company wants to sponsor Inkscape, but their website is in German (I
think), can some translators have a look at it and see if it's
trustworthy and above board before we accept the sponsorship donation?
Thanks a lot!

Website: New FAQ item for dpi change
by Maren Hachmann
Hi website translators,
for the dpi change, our FAQ has received a much anticipated update:
https://inkscape.org/en/learn/faq/#dpi_change
As the anchor part of the link (#dpi_change) is used inside the Inkscape
program (you can access it from the dpi update dialog), it's important
that at some point you switch to the html source and add an
id="dpi_change" into the header tag for the new FAQ item.
Hope you're all doing well,
Kind Regards,
Maren

Translation for .92.2: last days
by Marc Jeanmougin
Hi all!
We're about to publish .92.2 and so far, french, and german translations
appear to be "fully up to date" (100%)
Could you tell if you plan to submit a translation update soon-ish?
The languages that appear "close" (>80%) to be fully translated are for
instance:
breizh (7405/8133),
catalan (8073/8133),
greek (7655/8133),
en_GB (8129/8133),
euskadi (7202/8133),
spanish (7620/8133),
icelandic (7052/8133),
italian (7564/8133),
japanese (6990/8133),
latvian (8089/8133),
dutch (8016/8133),
portugese (8016/8133),
slovak (7882/8133),
zh_CN (7776/8133),
zh_TW (7598/8133),
and any other that you're working on or that I've missed
Important note: Don't forget to update your po file with the
inkscape.pot file
<https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape/blob/0.92.x/po/inkscape.pot> to
see the complete list of strings to be translated!
Nicolas, if you know ways to contact translators that would not be on
this list, can you copy it to them?
Thanks all for all your work!
