Fwd: Website: small update to 'Getting Started'
by Maren Hachmann
Hi website translators,
we're trying to make the info on the pages for guiding new contributors
more complete.
As a first step, there's a small new paragraph added. If you have
translated that page, it will need an update soon ;)
I've decided to start adding screenshots of the changes to the 'website
update' mails, to make it easy for you to spot what's new, until the
diff system for the website is working, see attachment. I had to make
the picture small because of the 40kb message limit in this list. I hope
it's still useful - if not, please complain!
Regards,
Maren

Website: Hackfest news
by Maren Hachmann
Hi website translators,
there's a new news article about the ongoing hackfest in Toronto on our
website :)
Can you translate the info to feed our community's hungry minds?
They have donated generously, and now they will probably want to know
urgently what's happening ;)
If you're technically interested, you can also take a look at the
corresponding set of Wiki pages to get a better impression of what's
happening:

translation)

Hi All,
The Inkscape Budget for 2015 is now posted on our website:
https://inkscape.org/en/about/governance/budget/
As mentioned on the page, the purpose of this budget is to help the
board in deciding expenditures for the year, and we'll be periodically
updating it as further expenses get decided.

Translations for different branches
by Eduard Braun
Hi all,
since [1] doesn't seem to cover this question:
What's the most convenient way to translate the Inkscape interface for
different branches (e.g. 0.91.x and 0.92/trunk)?
* The help page suggests to fetch the latest .po/.pot files from trunk
and translate those.
* As far as I can see this will however most likely conflict with the
latest stable branch (0.91 currently)
Do I really need to keep both branches up-to-date separately or are
there other options?
Best Regards,
Eduard

typo in inkscape.po
by Sveinn í Felli
in line circa 6501:
#: ../src/extension/internal/filter/color.h:261
msgid "Geen weak (deuteranomaly)"
msgstr ""
Guess it hould be "Green weak (deuteranomaly)"
This is the section on color-blindness simulation.
Best regards,
