I work in an University in South of Brazil and we have here one teacher who
want to make students of Information Systems learn English by
software/documentation translation, so, I came to as you if you need help
on pt_BR translation, who I need to talk to know how it will be done and,
then, I will put the teacher to talk with this responsible for translation.
Thanks and congrats for the project.

I'm happy to announce that Tavmjong Bah & Johan Engelen have been
elected and have accepted their positions on the board. A few people
had voted off-lists, however, it does not affect the results in the
end (they actually had more votes including those). So, to Johan &
Tav, congratulations and welcome aboard! :)
The people nominated to fill the open spots on our board are as follow
(in no particular order):
Jasper van de Gronde
If you are nominated and are unable or unwilling to serve on the
board, please speak up ASAP.
If you are in the AUTHORS file, you are eligible to vote. Please vote
for only two, both votes will carry equal weight. In the unlikely
event that there is a threeway tie, we will vote again with only one
vote per voter. This time, I'm holding off on voting until later in
the week (someone else gets to kick it off). The voting opens now and
will close on September 23rd, the results will be posted on the 24th.
I followed the discussion on the 0.49 Release Plan on Inkscape-devel last
week and I would like to request that the "po" folder of the bazaar
repository be updated so that we can start updating our translations. The
current date of most of the po files there is 2012-04-11.
Personally I have no possibility of downloading the source tree to
compile them myself so if someone with "commit" access could do that it
would be great.
I know that there are still changes to be made to the version before a
"String Freeze", but I think it would be useful to be able to start working.
Thanks in advance,
