Website: More news, this time: SFC donation campaign
by Maren Hachmann
Hi again, translators!
Our hardworking news team has prepared and posted another news item,
which is about Inkscape's umbrella organization asking for donations, so
they can keep on giving support to all those awesome open source projects.
You can find it here:
https://inkscape.org/news/2018/11/28/support-inkscape-supporting-software...
Switch to your own language on that page and select to translate the
news article.
It's comparably long, but I hope that as many of us as possible can find
some time to translate it, so they get as much support as possible :)
@Finlay: please let me know if you can help with it, there are a lot of
different things I need to attend to currently, and some are already a
bit overdue.
Thank you everyone for your help!
Kind Regards,
Maren

Website: New news - watch Inkscope Podcast!
by Maren Hachmann
Hi there, fellow Website translators!
We've got a really fun news item today, just a couple of sentences,
really. You need to insert your language code into the following link to
be able to get to the translation interface for that article (as it's
just summary + link):
https://inkscape.org/<insert-your-language-code-here>/admin/cmsplugin_news/news/904/tr/
Hope you'll have time to watch the video, too! I promise you, it's fun :)
(will do the German translation now)
Kind Regards,
Maren

Website: New Sponsor added
by Maren Hachmann
Hi there, Website Translators!
Inkscape has a new platinum sponsor, which means that:
- the sponsors page has been updated
(https://inkscape.org/support-us/sponsors/) with the new VectorStock
Logo and description. I've also fixed the alphabetical order - PIA is
now right after OSUOSL.
- on the front page at https://inkscape.org, the 'Recent Sponsor' logo
and links/alt texts were exchanged for the new one (just edited the CMS
plugin, it's the fastest way to do this).
We will (hopefully) also soon have a news article about them.
Thank you for your help with the website translations!
(I'll do the German translations tonight)
Kind Regards
Maren

Ok. You can do as follows.
1. Register on gitlab and fork Inkscape:
https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape
2. Edit the translation
https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape/blob/master/po/ur.po
in some specialized editor. I'd recommend Lokalize (it can be installed from
your distribution repos or from KDE build factory for Windows [1]), but you
can choose some other editor (poEdit, Virtaal, OmegaT, GTranslator, Qt
Linguist, even emacs or vim).
Some useful advices on Lokalize can be found here:
https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Translating_with_Lokalize
3. Commit and push the translation into your fork.
4. Create a merge request.
Hope this helps.
Best regards,
Yuri

- Yes, you probably won't need to worry about this.

- In a few months (or maybe earlier), we will have an automatted search
mask for internal links. Please try to remember it until then.
See https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape-web/issues/238 for updates.

- Yes, see also the linked Wiki page below where it is explained in
detail. Specifically, you will find the relevant section at
