Inkscape docs moved to Launchpad
by Nicolas Dufour
Hi all,
Inkscape's doc stuff (mainly tutorials po files) has just moved from the old
Sourceforge svn to Launchpad.
The project url is: https://launchpad.net/inkscape-docs. Feel free to use it if
you need to report a bug or request (you can still use the translators list, of
course!)
The maintainer and driver of this project is the Inkscape Administrators group,
and the trunk owner is the Inkscape Developers group.
In order to get a local checkout of the files, please use the following command:
# bzr checkout lp:inkscape-docs
You can create a local branch instead, but I suggest that you use a checkout so
that using it is as easy as is was with svn.
Please refer to the wiki
(http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/Working_with_Bazaar) if you need some
details about bazaar (just replace lp:inkscape with lp:inkscape-docs).
Could someone with the appropriate rights freeze
"https://inkscape.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/inkscape/doc-docbook/ on
Sourceforge"?
Regards.

Please remove translation comments before | sign
by Leandro Regueiro
Can you please change the comments before | in strings like this one:
"Grid|_New"
to a msgctxt tag for not using "comment|" anymore in Inkscape translation?
IMHO this leads to confusions and mistranslations.

Wiki page translation
by Lucas Vieites
Hi,
as the release date for 0.48 is nearing, I am once again trying to find
the most appropriate way to translate the Release Notes from the Wiki.
Translating Wiki texts is always a hassle because there are no CAT (computer
aided translation) tools that support the format (OmegaT does something with
MediaWiki format, but I haven't been able to try it out !!).
As I was researching a solution to this problem I found the TranslateWiki
project (http://translatewiki.net/). They provide a translation platform for
wikis of open source projects. The main advantage of it is that translations
become _reusable_. Instead of translating the same texts over and over again
from one release to another and having to check every sentence word by word
for changes, we will be able to reuse previous translations and the
differences will be highlighted.
I'd like to hear your thoughts on whether it would be useful for us to use
their platform.

what means "on" ?
by Cristian Secară
In this string
#. TODO replace aux_toolbox_space(tbl, AUX_SPACING);
#: ../src/widgets/gradient-toolbar.cpp:589
msgid "on"
the on is like "on or off", or like "on my desk" ?

Tutorial translations
by Leandro Regueiro
Hi,
I just wanted to start translating the tutorials, but the bzr web
interface seems to be not working, so I downloaded the files from the
svn in sourceforge, is any problem this? Another thing is that I am
not familiar with the SVG creation from the .po files, any tip
regarding this issue?
Another question, can you make statistics for the tutorials like this:
http://mfloryan.statnet.pl/inkscape/
Thanks,

large - small - smaller or large - medium - small ?
by Cristian Secară
(not quite translation related, but I came across these strings while
translating/checking this portion)
In preferences -> Interface there are a few icon size settings. At
present the alternatives are large - small - smaller. Is this really
ok ? In my opinion these should have been large - medium - small.
Hm ?
