1. The updated Romanian translation which is present at http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~inkscape.dev/inkscape/trunk/files/head:/po/ is not included in the 0.48 prerelease. ?? 2. The installer does not substitute the variable ${PRODUCT_NAME} with the actual name. See this http://www.secarica.ro/traduceri/misc/inskscape_nsis_ro_highlighted.png shows in Romanian. Any clue ? Feature Freeze

Hi all, We're ready to move into Feature Freeze. No further feature work is permitted at this point. Any remaining tasks regarding documentation needs to be wrapped up ASAP, as we will be moving to string freeze soon. Feature Freeze entails: No further development work. Disable features that aren't finished Post additional inkscape-0.48-pre*.tar.gz releases Focus on critical bug fixing. Finalize all tutorials, docs, etc. Finalize all extensions Finalize about screen Translators create translations. Inkscape must pass 'make distcheck' Establish the Stable Branch for release Disable features that won't be turned on in the release Post inkscape-0.48-beta.tar.gz ----- Here's a tentative release schedule (please, lets try to stick to this): Today (6/1) is Feature Freeze Monday (6/7) will be String Freeze Monday (6/21) will be Hard Freeze Monday (6/28) will be Release ----- To stick to this we need to address the following. @Felipe: It appears that either your device-cmyk work needs to get disabled at this time, which was suggested by Jon in the previous thread. Will you be able to address this soon? Please let us know. Bug 542346 @Jon: Please get the "UX" selector in that toolbar sorted ASAP. Are the "Auto" swatches initially editable in the F&S dialog yet? If not, it's looking like they'll need to be disabled again for this release. @Johan: I see you think you've fixed the LPE issue that bulia reported, thank you! @Tavmjong: Awesome work on the Text Tool! Is there anything else that is a "must" to get in/fixed? If so, is it looking feasible to get done in time with your schedule? Also, it appears that bug 583593 is assigned to you, any progress? UI Indonesian Translation

Dear Inkscape Developers Actually I have been using Inkscape for several years. I am now interested to contribute as a translator of in my native language "Indonesia" I am just wondering whether I can contribute to Inkscape as one of translators. I have experiences in translating several open source software (UI translator) as the main (Indonesian) translator: LyX, Avogadro and JMol. I have downloded the id.po from http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~inkscape.dev/inkscape/trunk/changes Another question is how can I submit the translated id.po. Grammar error in web slicer extension.

Hi! Unfortunately I have found a grammar error in the English text for one extensions (web slicer group creation). It says: *Layout Group is only about to help a better code generation (if you need it). To use this, you must to select some \"Slicer rectangles\" first.* It should be either: *Layout Group is only about to help a better code generation (if you need it). Indonesian Translation

Hello. My name is Arturo Silva and I'm co-developer to the fledgling visual novel project @CameliaGirls, as well as a long-time Inkscape user and supporter (~4 years). Due to recent discussions with my project counterparts in Indonesia, it came to my attention that the Indonesian translation for Inkscape is not complete. Therefore, in order to help improve Inkscape's appeal to graphic artists in the country, I'm looking to sponsor the full translation of the program's UI, and other pertinent material, into the Indonesian language. Our lead Indonesian translator for our visual novel project is very interested in this job, and is looking forward to starting this some time next week. He is currently in the process of reviewing the Inkscape Translation Information page and may post here within the next few days, but if there's anything you think we should take into consideration before starting this translation effort, please let me know. I don't intend for this to be available in the 0.48 release, but I sincerely hope that the 0.49 release (as well as any developer snapshots prior to this) will benefit greatly from this additional language option. Thank you.

is there a particular reason for paranthesis or square brackets for [unit] ?

In some strings the measurment notation is in normal paranthesis (example: Vertical shift (px)), while in other strings the notation is in square bracket (example: Radius [px]). Is there any particular reason for one or another ? Cristi -- Cristian Secară http://www.secarica.ro/
