you can find the .po files in SVN
They're being regularly updated, you don't need to do msgmerge
yourself. vi.po is currently 76% stranslated. Direct link to HEAD
revision (i.e. always the up-to-date revision):
We're still not yet to string freeze, but took a big step forward
towards that today.
I've updated the translation statistics on the home page. Twelve
languages have been translated to >80% (up from 10 last time), although
the average translation ratio dropped 1% from 49% to 48%.
I notice the Italian translation went from 96% a week ago, to 0% today -
luca, do you have an idea what might have happened?
Also, for en_CA, it looks like it hasn't been filled in very much, and
what is there seems to just be Britishisms (centre, metre, etc.) Could
we simply copy the en_GB file to en_CA? It seems if we are going to
provide Canandian language bindings, that would give better results than
what we have so far. It looks like it hasn't been updated in over a
year; maybe it could just be dropped?
as I'm often wondering about context of a message, I'd like to help a
bit with translator comments. Because I haven't done commits outside
of the po/ directory yet, I'm sending a patch (attached) for review
and comments first. Let me know if I have green for commits like this.
I already have SVN write access. Thank you.
I am sorry, I pressed the wrong key and sent a junk message.
I would like to take part in the translation of tutorials to zh_CN. So,Is
there anyone working on this? Please send me a message, and let me know
where I can get started.
I've updated the en_GB translation (to 100% at time of translation),
however it was done against revision 16499 of the en_GB po file,
before the most recent make update-po was done. Get it here:
I want to announce that there are some new strings in the win32
installer under the directory inkscape/packaging/win32/
The strings are related to a more error prove version ---do not delete

There is Serbian (Cyrillic) update sr.po for 0.46 release. This is
WiP, and until .46 release both, sr@...158... and sr.po will be updated.
P.S. new Serbian translation is sr.po for Cyrillic script, and sr@...158...
for Latin script (isntead of old sr@...54...).

I'd like to contribute to the translation of Inkscape's GUI to
Romanian. I see that the PO file is not yet entirely translated to
this language; and I discovered some errors in it as well.
Who is currently handling it? It would be great if we could
synchronize and figure out how to make sure we won't do the same work
