probably a bug in degree sign character representation

The degree sign is mostly represented in HTML entity (°) instead of direct Unicode character (0x00B0, i.e. ˚), so in some menus it shows as HTML (for example in Object -> Rotate 90° etc.) I presume that all occurences should be changed back to Unicode. Related to this, I am not sure what is the part of the first variable here (and other similar strings): <b>Curve segment</b>: angle %3.2f°, distance % s; etc. Cristi -- Cristian Secară http://www.secarica.ro

where can I chack the ruler settings ?

I just want to check some strings of my translation, like _Mark distance: Distance between successive ruler marks Ma_jor length: Length of major ruler marks etc. I know these strings are from the lpe-ruler.cpp file, but I want to view them in the application. missing string for translation, or I don't know to whom it belongs

In Edit -> Input Devices... -> the current selected item is "Core Pointer" (in list and as title). Where from comes this string ? It does not appear to exist in the .pot file. I also checked at random in the gtk .mo files that are present in my GIMP install and it is not there either. I'm using one of the most recent development version (devel r12162), on Windows.
