Website News: SCALE Hackfest fundraiser article posted

Hi translators! These are busy days... There will be a lot to translate (I know, because I'm reviewing and co-authoring) in the next couple of days coming your way. The series starts with an article about the upcoming Hackfest at Southern California Linux Expo. Translations for 'default.svg' and 'Layer 1'

Hi translators, we need your help for the default templates translations: Step 1: ------- Please look into the attached screenshot, and check if your language's po file is in the list. If it is, then do the following: Step 2: ------- Please visit https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape/blob/master/share/templates/create_def… and check if there is a translation for 'Layer 1' in the list. Step 3: ------- If there isn't, please quickly (until in ~ 5 hours from now), send me your translation for the term 'Layer 1' and your language shortcut (or, even better, the full line that would go into the file linked above). If you prefer, you can also make a merge request on gitlab. You can still submit that entry later, but it won't go into the alpha release then anymore. Thank you! Kind Regards Maren

0.92.4 - last chance to get your translations into the next release! (+release notes)

Hi there, fellow Inkscape translators! The next bugfix release of the Inkscape 0.92.x branch is due in a couple of days (probably next week, or maybe the week after). Program translations -------------------- If you'd like to get your translations into this next stable release, please grab the po file for your language from https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape/tree/0.92.x/po and submit it as soon as possible! (if you know how, it's preferred if you create a fork and a merge request, to merge into the 0.92.x branch). Make sure to work on the file in the 0.92.x branch! Release notes translation ------------------------- Release notes for a bugfix release aren't super exciting, nonetheless, there are also some nice small new features in 0.92.4. The release notes can be found at http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/Release_notes/0.92.4 Translate them on the Wiki, but only if the website lists your language in the language dropdown. Let us know on the mailing list if you need Wiki access for this. Website: New News: A new Platinum sponsor!

Hi translators, news are coming in (comparably) rapid succession now - this time, we have a typical pre-Christmas news, with a big new donor. As the 'translate news' link in the dropdown seems to have vanished (see https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape-web/issues/279), you will need to access this one for translation by using the following link scheme: https://inkscape.org/<your-language-code-here>/admin/cmsplugin_news/news/910/tr/ There will be more news to come in the near future (topics: an alpha release, a maintenance release, an undisclosed topic, a hackfest fundraiser). I hope that maybe new translators can help us share the load, or maybe 'old' ones could jump back in to help us out. Most of us are probably in pre-Christmas mode, and have lots and lots to do, so any help is appreciated. Thank you all, Maren

A small problem with translating a website

Hello On the page below there is information about the percentage of translation of the .po file : language pl 85 (6%) 8 (0%) 1164 / 1257 2018-05-09 https://inkscape.org/doc/devel/translations-statistics-master.html I checked in the gitlab location. The file exists. https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape-web-i18n/tree/master/pl/LC_MESSAGES The problem is that in the new website I can not choose my language to start editing pages (no PL position in the upper right corner of the page next to the login). When in the old page I could freely switch to the PL language. What should I do ? Where did I make a mistake? When we enter manually by entering the address: https://inkscape.org/pl/ is automatically redirected to https://inkscape.org/ Kind Regards Artur

Merging updated es.po file from gitlab fails

Hi there, I'm trying to merge my updates to the es.po file from my gitlab account, but I keep getting the message that my pipeline fails: Pipeline #39095314 <https://gitlab.com/lucasvieites/inkscape/pipelines/39095314> failed for 89a65ebb <https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape/commit/89a65ebb2c99cd2b8138e7b3056a634…> on lucasvieites <https://gitlab.com/lucasvieites/inkscape>:master <https://gitlab.com/lucasvieites/inkscape/tree/master> What I have done so far: - Fork the inkscape master branch - Update the es.po file in my branch - Create a new merge request - Fail I'm not fluent enough with git/gitlab to know how to fix this, or even if I can fix it. I do see that other translator are having the same issue: https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape/merge_requests Any idea what's going on, or how I should proceed to get my translation to the right place? Our hardworking news team has prepared and posted another news item, which is about Inkscape's umbrella organization asking for donations, so they can keep on giving support to all those awesome open source projects.
