Hi all, just a short info: please hold off updating your po file from the current pot file. Experimental path effect translations might be lost (or at least, moved to the comment section at the bottom). I'll let you know shortly how the issue was resolved. Maren

The Greek translation

Hi, The last time I've translated the Greek file it was in Launchpad. As I see, you have now moved to gitlab and I cannot find neither the Greek file or the .po file in gitlab. So, although I've tried to follow the instructions in gitlab and in Ukrainian translation's e-mail no luck. Please, send me the appropriate instructions. Bye

Hello everyone, My name is Nazarii. I'm a Ukrainian native speaker and have already translated Inkscape tutorials into Ukrainian. I'd like to help to translate the website too. I'd like to start translating the index tutorials page (https://inkscape.org/learn/tutorials/) to make the tutorials available as soon as possible (actually, I translated them by recommendation of Ukrainian community). Experience: can work with po-files. Also, I have tried to study Django some time ago :) Best regards, Nazarii

Don't translate nonsense entries for extensions

Hi all, this is a short warning about a current issue with the translation files. There are currently a lot of strings (~ 800, as far as I read) that refer to extensions, and that do not make sense, due to a bug with how translatable strings are extracted from .inx files. If you feel certain that you can distinguish those that make sense from those that don't (e.g. extension IDs like 'org.inkscape.filter.nicechart', numbers, Python file names like 'something.py'), then just skip them. If you're not sure you can distinguish those, better concentrate on translating non-extension content. These are strings that do not come from a file in ../share/extensions/ .
