Register on gitlab and fork Inkscape: https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape 2. Edit the translation https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape/blob/master/po/ur.po in some specialized editor. I'd recommend Lokalize (it can be installed from your distribution repos or from KDE build factory for Windows [1]), but you can choose some other editor (poEdit, Virtaal, OmegaT, GTranslator, Qt Linguist, even emacs or vim). Website: FAQ and Learn page updated

Hi there, website translators! As editing works again, Brynn has made the updates she was planning to do now. 1. On https://inkscape.org/learn/, the link to the videos by heathenx has been updated with a new url and a new description. 2. In the FAQ, an item for another frequent issue has been added: https://inkscape.org/learn/faq/#you-want-select-individual-object-you-can-o… Thank you for your help! @Finlay: Would you have time to take care of the FAQ item? Website update: current status

Hi there, Martin, Bryce and Travis from our friendly hosters at OSUOSL have worked on switching the inkscape.org website to the newer version this evening. In some parts of the world, due to DNS propagation, you might not yet see the new page, but you will soon (it looks pretty much the same, though, just the backend is newer). It now features a new shiny django (yay!). Unfortunately, it currently has problems with page edits, news edits and resource uploads. Please hold off editing anything on it, to not lose any work. Martin is working on fixing things, and will let you know when it's good for editing again. Downloads and viewing the pages work as usual (except for viewing pasted texts), so most people won't be affected by the issues. Kind Regards, Maren

Im working with "Virtaal"(a PO editor)on that En.po file from here: https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape-docs/documentation/blob/0.92.x/keys/en… About the examples of the problems i encountered,two are showed in the image attached with this mail. Shortcut translation progress and troubles

Hi to all translators,sending this mail only to state that the translation of shortcuts reference goes on and now im at 30%. During the process i encountered shortcuts that don`t seems correct (differ from english reference) or that are incomplete (eg. ctrl or shift missing in the shortcut like CTRL+keypad 5 that shows just "keypad 5" in en.po file) or again an alternative combination thats missing (present in the english reference like # or SHIFT+3). 1 It is something that i can correct in the italian version (till today did this way)? or i must just translate? 2 in case of missing alternative shortcuts, should i add a new row down the "primary shortcut" ? how to do it? note - till now i simply append (inline on the same row) the second combination after the first one separating the two by a comma is this a good solution ?
