Hi guys, how are all of you doing today? :) I was just wondering... I'm on a Windows machine, (Windows 7 64 bit) and I mainly use the paid version of Poedit (I only paid because it is a software I use for a long time and I believe in contributing money to the developer). But I was just wondering.. is there a more efficient way you guys translate your po files for Inkscape project? Is there a way you guys use translation memory? Is there a way we can get past translations from past versions of Inkscape and reuse them in the current translation? Preferably automated way? :) Any thoughts? Cheers. --Victor Westmann

Hi everyone, the 'The next release' page (https://inkscape.org/en/develop/next-release/) has been updated to match the list Bryce sent to the developers' mailing list (this one: https://sourceforge.net/p/inkscape/mailman/message/35409237/). The diff is available here: https://inkscape.org/en/cms/diff/?revision_from=55354&revision_to=55583 (doesn't reflect the additional classes in the source code for the check marks, though) There's no urgency to update the page right now, so if you're working on finalizing the Inkscape program translations, don't let this detract you ;-) Regards, Maren

Where do I get the translation files...

...for the next 0.92 release? Do we still have time? :-| I recently noted that we have a beautiful page to see the status of all translation files for the project ( https://inkscape.org/pt/doc/devel/translations-statistics-trunk.html) It's amazingly well done! Congrats! Where can I get the files to make the translation? Icelandic translation update

Website: Shield gone again...

Hi everyone, just in case you wonder, the shield bug is back again (and the front shield, and plugins on the front page, are gone). I've asked Martin if he could look into it, as it's really annoying if everytime the front page is edited, we need to restore the shield manually for all languages. Please don't edit the front page, and if you make any other changes, keep in mind that they may be lost, because Martin may want to load a backup. Translation pt_PT PO file

Hello guys I've been hacking in the Inkscape's Website PO file translation for European Portuguese pt_PT. Just wanted to let you know I just submitted a bug report with the translation attached. It's mostly done and reviewed, only thing missing are three strings which I'm not really sure what they pertain to. They are Photo Heads' 'Photos Bios' and 'Front Shield', anyone knows what context they show up? Thanks, Duarte

Shield data has gone far away again

Hi Martin, Again, the shield is empty on all versions of the homepage. Process: * I told Duarte to translate the shield to Portuguese again. * (I think) he accessed the homepage by clicking on the logo at the top-left. So he switched from Portuguese to English, without noticing it. * He put his translations in the plugin on the English page. * He noticed the problem, so clicked on ‘Revert to Live’!! * Well, this is the end. I took benefit from this by enriching our bug report to django-cms: https://github.com/divio/django-cms/issues/3599 Would you be able to restore the data, from a local instance maybe? Arabic web translation

Hello translators, In the past few days i was busy working, unfortunately i couldn't send this e-mail sooner. So, i'm at 28% of the translation, i'm checking the translations with a friend who's more friendly with arabic websites. Now, i want to make my first submission. Sylvain gave me some instructions, but i didn't have linux at that time, and i can't find the e-mail anymore.
