A minor patch to fix some translation issues

Hi, Attached is a patch to add context to "Lower" message (aimed to make it distinct from the similar message in ruler.cpp) and to enable translation of Hershey text extension. Thanks for reviewing and committing the changes. BTW, Hershey Text crashes current bzr/trunk effectively here. Is it just for me? Best regards, Yuri

As I remember there were plans to release Inkscape 0.49 at the end of 2012, but it still isn't here. so I'm wondering is there any new plans for it? Personally I'm interesting in string freeze...

Hi I want to help to translate Inkscape to Chinese Simplified. I have installed and compiled Inkscape on my laptop and joined the GNOME Translation Group for Chinese. probably a bug in degree sign character representation

The degree sign is mostly represented in HTML entity (°) instead of direct Unicode character (0x00B0, i.e. ˚), so in some menus it shows as HTML (for example in Object -> Rotate 90° etc.) I presume that all occurences should be changed back to Unicode. Related to this, I am not sure what is the part of the first variable here (and other similar strings): <b>Curve segment</b>: angle %3.2f°, distance % s; etc. Cristi -- Cristian Secară http://www.secarica.ro

where can I chack the ruler settings ?

I just want to check some strings of my translation, like _Mark distance: Distance between successive ruler marks Ma_jor length: Length of major ruler marks etc. I know these strings are from the lpe-ruler.cpp file, but I want to view them in the application. missing string for translation, or I don't know to whom it belongs

In Edit -> Input Devices... -> the current selected item is "Core Pointer" (in list and as title). Where from comes this string ? It does not appear to exist in the .pot file. I also checked at random in the gtk .mo files that are present in my GIMP install and it is not there either. I'm using one of the most recent development version (devel r12162), on Windows. one line can have several midpoints ?

I have this string #: ../src/widgets/toolbox.cpp:1817 msgid "Line Midpoints" I am not sure, but it sound strange to me that a line can have more than one midpoint. Is this ok ? Or perhaps it should be Lines Midpoints ? Or just Line Midpoint ? Cristi -- Cristian Secară http://www.secarica.ro

Doubts and typos translating strings from Gcode graffiti extension

Hi, I'm finishing the Spanish translation for the current 0.49 version and I'm having trouble with a couple of strings, especially from the Gcode extension: "Preview's paint emmit (pts/s):" I have no clue about this one; Google doesn't either ;-) There's also this one, which I think originally had some new lines: "This function creates path to engrave letters or any shape with sharp angles. Cutter's depth as a function of radius is defined by the tool. Depth may be any Python expression. For instance: cone....(45 degrees)......................: w cone....(height/diameter=10/3)..: 10*w/3 sphere..(radius r)...........................: math.sqrt(max(0,r**2-w**2)) ellipse.(minor axis r, major 4r).....: math.sqrt(max(0,r**2-w**2))*4" Here's a typo: "Sort paths to reduse rapid distance" => "*reduce" I hope someone can help me here...
