Spanish translation of the tutorials

Hi all, with the huge milestone that is v 1.0 of Inkscape I wanted to complete the translations of the tutorials to Spanish. These are partially already done but I haven't found any reference to who the last translator was. I'd appreciate any information so I can contact them to coordinate this effort if possible. Inkscpae Wiki

Hi there, is there a way to add pt_BR to the Inkscape wiki project? Is there also any introductory matrial newcomers should read and learn before editing the Inkscape wiki on their own languages? Did a minor edit in the Inkscape Wiki, and, since it didn't work, I won't even go further. Thank you everyone! Thanks, Victor

String and Feature freeze

Hi devs and translators ! Just to make it official, we are now in feature and string freeze : - New features that have any possibility of having a bug or to need testing will be postponed to post-branching time - Any modification to strings will need to be approved and will need an email to translators ML - Dev focus should ideally be given to bugfixing ;) @Translators : the pot file should now be stable, as Maren indicated a few hours ago (only two strings changed since then), sorry for the changes Thanks all for your involvement in this release! -- Mc

Brazilian Portuguese

Dear fellow Brazilian Portuguese Translators! How is everyone doing today? Is it possible we coordinate efforts to tackle the interface of Inkscape to raise its status before the 1.0 release? I think it is around 8k strings (~1 MB of TEXT! (yeah, I now)) I already tackled multiple tutorial files (in some of them I was able to raise the status to 100% and in others only to 50 to 70%). Should we join forces? Is there anything that you guys can hep me with? Is there anything I can hel you all with? Are you using any special tool for the translation effort? I am using Poedit version 2.24. Thanks, Victor

Small sections of text missing in inkscape translation statistics page

Hello Inkscapers, I hope everyone is doing fantastically well! I noticed that on the inkscape website link (https://inkscape.org/doc/devel/translations-statistics-master.html) there are a couple of sections that are missing! They are: Shapes, Tips, Tracing, Tracing Pixel Art. Let me know if I missed anything or if there is something that I can do to help fix this. Thanks, Victor

However, I was asking for a translation of a social media post: "Our upcoming version 1.0 needs an About Screen. Show us your interpretation of what this open source graphics editor can do! Deadline is Nov. 17. Details here: https://inkscape.org/community/about-screen-contests/" with 280 characters maximum. Maybe the lack of quotes around it caused the confusion... Sorry about that! (Because the contest page on the website is going to be updated continuously, and will only be needed for a very short time, I didn't ask for translations for that). Help needed for the translation of new download sub menus

Hi All, I have added three new sub-menu items to the download menu, which should simplify the navigation and allow to find the various versions quicker. Could you please help to translate the following new terms: "Current Version", see https://inkscape.org/admin/el_menu/menuitem/727/change/?_changelist_filters… "Upcoming Version (1.0)", see https://inkscape.org/admin/el_menu/menuitem/728/change/?_changelist_filters… "Latest Development Version", see https://inkscape.org/admin/el_menu/menuitem/729/change/?_changelist_filters… The administration UI offers simplified translation functionality implemented by Martin, which will allow you to add the translation for your easier than before. Another benefit of the new feature is that the (English) master term will be used by the system as default for any language, which has no translation yet. Under the section "MENU TRANSLATIONS" simply create a new entry with your language. Please use the same URL for all languages, the German translation may serve as an example.
