Calling all Inkscape Contributors! It's time for you to cast your votes for the Inkscape 1.4 About Screen Contest! Round one has elevated 5 artworks into top contention as favorites from the Inkscape community with 855 total ranked votes from 251 voters. As Inkscape Contributors, you are the final panel of judges to vote for their favorites to award the next winner of the About Screen Contest that will be featured in the next release! Voting begins Monday, April 22, 2024 and ends at 11:59 UTC on Monday, April 29, 2024, so be certain to cast your vote soon! How does this work? We're using ranked choice voting, which means you can vote for many artworks. Click the checkbox on any artworks you'd like to vote for from the ones you like the most to the ones you like the least. We've received some excellent entries for the About Screen Contest! Community Voting is open now through April 21 (ends 23:59 UTC)! The topic for this years' contest was "Growth". This first round of voting is the Community Round. Voting will be ranked choice voting, so click the checkbox next to each artwork to vote for as many ― or as few ―artworks as you'd like. Vote from your top choice to your lowest choice. No need to vote for every work, just as many as you'd like to see elevated to the final round of voting. Remember, each voter may only vote once. Hi all, the 1.4.x branch of Inkscape for the upcoming 1.4 version is now available for you to work on. Note that there's an odd symbol set currently included that adds 112 strings that do not make any sense. You can ignore those. Examples given at https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape/-/issues/4759 . Hello there! I recently started using inkscape as part of a learning process for a course I'm taking and as a beginner I find it extremely easy to use and as I can't contribute in any other way I'd like to be a part of the translation team for Portuguese-PT. I read a few articles about what's possible and how to do it; I feel that sending you an e-mail stating that I'm not a person that knows a lot of git processes etc would help you help me understand where I can be of more use. I wouldn't mind helping translate articles or news, maybe that's easier to start with. I can also translate other stuff from the interface itself but I'm not sure I understood how to post it aftwerwards or even how to collect/download the files to start translating.
