Wiki: Release notes for 0.92.3 available for translation

Hello translators, the release notes for the 0.92.3 bug fix release are ready and available for translation in the Wiki at http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/Release_notes/0.92.3 If you can help, but don't have Wiki access yet, please reply stating your desired user name for the Wiki. When a release notes translation is finished, please also send a short message to this mailing list, so your translation can be placed on the website. Release notes translations are not a priority (sponsors and the upcoming news item are more important), so if you don't have time for this long piece of text, don't worry too much. Also, any late translations are fine, if you cannot work on this right now. Thank you - and also: I definitely recommend an update to 0.92.3, as soon as it will officially be released! While we're waiting for 0.92.3 to be packaged (which is probably currently happening), and an announcement for it being crafted, there's already a small update to the home page at https://inkscape.org , for this year's Google Summer of Code. Find it on https://inkscape.org/en/support-us/sponsors/ as cloudscale.ch Please be mindful to not copy-paste the plugin from English, and don't hesitate to use the Source mode to add the correct html, if it gets messed up. Editing is dead slow currently, so please bring some patience. Re-clicking on buttons only makes it worse. If you don't get a bad gateway error right away, you just need to wait until it loads. Website: FAQ updated for Windows 10 behaviour with ghostscript

Hi translators, the FAQ section that describes how to adapt the system path for using ghostscript has been adapted to include instructions for Windows 10: https://inkscape.org/en/learn/faq/#how-open-eps-files-windows It's contents has been shuffled around a bit and also parts have been removed, so be sure to compare the whole section. Translations for 0.92.3 release

Hi all, as we had some interface translations coming in late last time (probably due to too short notice of the release) I thought I'd let you know early this time that Inkscape 0.92.3 is going to happen in the near future. Planning for the release is just starting, so there's no need to hurry. Anyway I just updated the inkscape.pot so you can start working on the translation as you see fit: * https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape/commit/90624d8370c54af0e5578abc4f0e311… (0.92.x branch) * https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape/commit/37abc4a31659dc3faab223f8cb25a13… (master branch if you want to update that right away, too) Please note we're not in official string freeze yet, so this might not be the absolute final version, however development in 0.92.x branch is mostly bugfixing these days, so string changes are rare and remaining changes should be minimal (if any). Hello translators, the website's FAQ has been updated with some info about problems on Windows. For this, a new section has been added at https://inkscape.org/en/learn/faq/#windows-specific-issues , the item 'How to upgrade on Windows XP' has been removed and the item 'After installing IE9, SVG files are opened with IE, instead of Inkscape' has been updated and moved down into the new Windows-specific-issues section. It's a fair bit of work (two screen heights for me) this time, but we've seen many Inkscape users on Windows struggle with the problems, so it's good they get some official help for these. @Finlay: would you be available to share some of it? I could do 1 + 3, and you could do 2 + 4, perhaps? Hope you're all doing well, Kind Regards, Maren
