trademark is used to allow the consumers not to be fooled about the quality of a product. By placing a trademark very similar to the Paramount Pictures one in a DVD of another company, the consumers could potentially be fooled. Thus it would potentially be a trademark violation. By doing it in Inkscape, which is something from a totally distinct field, cannot fool anybody, so there is no problem in making such a reference. Also, Trademarks are enforceable only in their specific fields of the market. New locale ca@...151...

Hi, Catalan l10n team (ca locale) would like to create a new locale for Valencian variant (ca@...151... locale) for Inkscape. This locale is already setup in gnome as you can see in http://l10n.gnome.org/teams/ca@...250... I would be the leader for both catalan team and ca@...151..., If there is any inconvenience. Now I wonder if there is any procedure to create the new locale or I just have to submit a new bug in launchpad with the PO file for ca@...250... Regards, Quim Perez

Hi, We seem to have reached agreement that we will not use Rosetta for translation. However I see that Inkscape's translation was imported to Rosetta for Lucid nevertheless: https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/lucid/+source/inkscape Does anybody know how to stop Canonical apart from shouting at them really loud? adding the Romanian NSIS installer

Hello, Please add the NSIS installer translation for Romanian from here: http://www.secarica.ro/traduceri/inkscape_0.47_installer_romanian.zip and also add the corresponding line to the main NSIS script, which should be !include Romanian.nsh Additionally, the default template for Romanian can be added too: http://www.secarica.ro/inkscape_0.47_default_template_romanian.zip which is modified as per Inkscape wiki for translators instructions. Regarding the template modification, my question is -- what changes from the practical perspective ? I mean, where can I observe any change when using Inkscape ? >From my language point of view the changes are minimal, like the page is now specified in millimeter and the label "Layer 1" is translated. product name variable in nsis installer language file

In the NSIS lnaguage files most strings are using the ${PRODUCT_NAME} variable for the installed product name, except for three places where "Inkscape" is mentioned explicitly (line 32, 41 and 44 if speaking about english.nsh file). Is this an intended behaviour, or is a mistake ? The other translations should follow exactly the same syntax regarding the "Inkscape" name occurrence ?
