Hi All, I have make some update on Khmer translation for Inkscape. But unfortunately, I cannot commit the translation to sever. Could someone take a look on my account? Thank in advance! Sokhem

Dear list, on Inkscape.org, some really revolutionary new features are introduced by bryce (sept 1). Alas, this statemaent lacks a German translation. For an educational Project, I did a coarse translation, cf. http://wiki.skolelinux.de/ProduktiveSoftware/Inkscape - paragraph "Neu in Version 0.46-cvs". Anyone ready to publish it within CMS? Well, you see --- I for my part prefer dealing with fuzzy status of messages instead of pure XML diffs, especially when you have mulitple source files, but that's just IMO :) What I'm more interested in right now is whether we split content into chapters, since we still will be able to use PO, as Colin says. splitting messages

Hi, As you probably know gettext apps merge same translatable messages into one msgid to save translators a fair amount of time. But in some cases this behavior is not desirable, becase one English word should be translated differently. I've come across one such case today: src/filter-enums.cpp:51 (Blend mode: Normal) src/ui/dialog/inkscape-preferences.cpp:439 (Dialogs on top: Normal) Do you know of other such cases, so we could make a list and separate them in source code? translation not working

Hi, As of revision 15936 I'm experiencing a quite weird thing: part of translated messages doesn't show up as translated. On this screenshot you see bottom part of Fill and Stroke dialog. http://img27.picoodle.com/img/img27/9/8/29/f_messagesm_281ac67.png "_Blend mode" (Режим) and "B_lur" (Размывание) show up as translated (coming from src/ui/widget/filter-effect-chooser.cpp), but names of blend modes (src/filter-enums.cpp) like "Screen" --- don't. Same thing with names of live path effects. They reside in src/live_effects/effects.cpp and being translated still don't show up as such. Any idea why? Am I doing something silly? Alexandre

Marró amb la traducció catalana d'NSIS

Bones, no se si us n'heu assabentat, però l'NSIS no porta més el català degut a una baralla entre catalanistes i valencianistes: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1558822&group_id=2… Això afecta a alguns dels nostres projectes; en el cas de l'Inkscape faran servir la nostra traducció d'NSIS per generar els paquets amb català. -- Google talk/Jabber: xavi.conde a gmail.com

weird bug

Hi, I swear I've seen such a bug before. Can anybody confirm this on most recent SVN trunk? http://img02.picoodle.com/img/img02/9/8/27/f_weirdm_17a753d.png This is for Tweak tool. I can reproduce it by switching to the new tool by W, then shrinking the window horizontally and clicking the button to show me hidden toolbar options. Alexandre

Tutorial xml2po conversion done

Hi, the conversion of the tutorial translations to PO format is done. (There are a few small things left, but the large task is finished). I'll now work on polishing the Makefile support and documenting the translation flow. Cheers Colin

Hi all, the tutorial translations (now in PO format) are ready for an update. You can find them in the doc-docbook module, or at http://inkscape.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/inkscape/doc-docbook/trunk/ There are only a few strings to handle in each tutorial. Since the strings in illustrations are also included in the po file, *you only need to work on the po files!* http://oerks.net/~colin/alltutorials/ has the current status in HTML and SVG versions. Please post updates to the SourceForge tracker or send them directly to me, I will then create HTML and SVG.
